There can be a whole host of formalities that need to be completed when setting up a business, all of which can be quite bewildering. For this reason, we provide you with a tool to help you wade through the jungle of forms.

Many forms issued by the authorities are available here in a digital format. Actually, there is more than just one form server as each STARTERCENTER NRW has its own.

The area of business you are setting up in and your region will determine which STARTERCENTER is responsible for you and which form server is the right one for you. This is how the form server works

First of all you need to register. To do this, you need to enter your surname and a username and assign a password. If you have specified an e-mail address, you will automatically receive an e-mail confirming your registration and access data (excluding password).

Remember to store your registration data carefully as this is the only way to gain access to your form data. When you fill in the forms, your entries are saved, so even if you terminate a session due to a lack of information, for example, your entries are retained and you can add to them at any time.

After registering, you need to enter more data in what is known as a meta form. This serves as the template for the forms required by the individual authorities. These forms are created automatically from the template, so all you need to do is print them out, sign them and send them to the relevant authorities. Important addresses, contact people, fact sheets and information material are stored on the form server and can also be printed out.

Documents that you need to have available when completing the forms

  • ID card or passport
  • Any proof of qualifications, e.g. master craftsman’s diploma or relevant qualification
  • Any educational or training certificates
  • A tax registration number (if you have one)
  • A pension scheme number (if you have one)
  • Any personal data relating to the particular operations manager
  • Any companies’ register extract e.g. for GmbH or e.K. (if necessary)
